Global Positions Systems (GPS) Collection and Processing
LDC retains the most current GPS solutions in order to provide its clients with a cost and time-efficient solution for spatial data collection. The accuracy of this data typically ranges from a few inches to a few feet, depending upon satellite positioning and the presence of interfering influences such as heavy foliage or high voltage power lines. This data is then post-processed and corrected in-house and integrated into our GIS and AutoCAD products. This approach provides a cost-effective alternative for projects that do not require survey grade spatial data. It also provides data for preliminary planning purposes prior to the expense and required scheduling for survey. LDC utilizes GPS solutions during the course of nearly every project. Typical data collection includes, but is not limited to the following:
- Utilities
- Infrastructure
- Wetland Flagging
- Stream Centerline
- Edge of Pavement
- Road Centerline
- Existing Structures
