Senior Structural Engineer:
LDC is looking for a licensed Structural Engineer with an interest in leading projects and developing client relationships. Responsibilities will include managing and assisting/overseeing structural design, interfacing with owners, architects and contractors. Managing timelines, budgets and support staff, and marketing structuralexpertise. Project design elements will include: steel, concrete, wood and masonry design of commercial, industrial, residential and telecommunication structures.
Education & Licensing:
- BS Degree in Civil Engineering with focus in structures
- Washington State SE License required. Multi-state preferred
Experience:
8-10 years minimum structural engineering design experience to include the following:
- Client management
- New client development
- Management of project schedules and budgets
- Management of technical staff
- Design of steel, concrete, wood and masonry structures
- Utilization of FEA design software
- Design of post-tensioned concrete structures
- Specification preparation
- Member of professional and technical societies
- Construction field experience a plus
Skills:
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Ability to work with engineering staff on all levels and interact and meet with clients
- Ability to work efficiently on both large and small scale projects
- Solution-oriented problem solving abilities
- Ability to work independently
- Detail-oriented
- RISA 3D software
- Knowledge of TIA codes
Senior Civil Engineer Project Manager:
LDC is seeking to fill a full time Senior Civil Engineer Project Manager position. Responsibilities will include: managing and assisting/overseeing design, reporting and planning for public, residential, and commercial development sites. Project design elements include: drainage, road design, grading, sewer, and water utility design. Responsibilities include: being involved with senior management and clients to manage project work, setting deadlines, and assisting in directing the work of technical staff.
Education & Licensing:
- BS Degree in Civil Engineering
- PE License (required)
Experience:
10 years' minimum civil engineering design/engineering experience to include the following:
- Site grading
- Road Design
- Storm water conveyance, quantity and quality modeling
- Sewer conveyance system design
- Water conveyance system design
- TESC system design
- Specification Preparation
- Engineers Estimates
- Land Entitlement and site layout experience preferred
- Public project experience a plus
- Construction field experience a plus
Management Experience:
5 years' minimum civil engineering project management experience to include the following:
- Manage Project Budgets
- Project scheduling
- Marketing of new clients
- Client Management
- Management of design and technical staff
- Team building
- SOQ and Proposal writing
- Involvement in community organizations associated with your career
Skills:
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Ability to work with engineering staff on all levels and interact and meet with clients, jurisdictional staff, and technical staff
- Solution-oriented problem solving abilities
